Gabriel Iglesias Stadium Fluffy Special: Watch - Netflix Tudum
- Meet Martin! Turns out, he’s actually real.Oct. 17, 2022
During Netflix Is a Joke: The Festival, standup Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias made history as the first comedian to ever perform at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. The result is his upcoming special, Gabriel Iglesias: Stadium Fluffy, launching Oct. 18.
As the two-hour comedy extravaganza approaches, Tudum can reveal Iglesias is making waves once again — by turning the camera on his long-mythologized BFF Martin. His introduction is waiting for you in this exclusive clip of the first four minutes of the special, which also includes Iglesias’ emotional entrance into the stadium for his memorable performance.
It’s time to punch your ticket to the sold-out Stadium Fluffy early.
At the start of the clip, a man sits down in a director’s chair and announces his name: “Martin Moreno.” Moreno has been popping up as a character in Iglesias’ specials since 2007’s Hot and Fluffy. You’ll have to click play for the very apt pop cultural comparisons Iglesias makes regarding his pal’s appearance. “It has been an incredible journey,” Moreno says, looking back on two decades of playing “garages, clubs [and] living rooms” with Iglesias. Now, his friend and collaborator is selling out stadiums (with a much-hyped mysterious ending number).
Naturally, Iglesias is nearly moved to tears once he appears on stage and looks out into the sea of faces cheering for him in one of LA’s biggest and most iconic venues. For a lifelong Southern Californian, the performance counts as the ultimate hometown show. “I didn’t do it,” Iglesias tells his fans. “We did it.” But the emotions didn’t diminish the comic’s signature humor. Press play on the clip to see Iglesias’ very first jokes. If you too didn’t know how to cook at the start of the pandemic, well, this one’s for you.
Gabriel Iglesias: Stadium Fluffy premieres Oct. 18.
