- 1 kg(Kilogram)/2Lb(Pounds) of Yellow Cornmeal
- 2 L of Water
- 2 Teaspoons of salt
- Optional/Extra:
- Wooden Spoon
- Cauldron or any pot with thick bottom.

Step 1
Put the water and the salt in a pot and put it on a stove.
Heat the water to 70 degrees Celsius.
Pour 8 tablespoons of Cornmeal while gently stirring for about 10 minutes. Don't forget to stir every 2 minutes.
The water must not boil at this moment.
Pour the rest of the Cornmeal gradually while stirring.
When the smell of the Cornmeal start to change from raw and it starts to detach easyly from the walls of the pot it's ready. The consistency must be pretty solid.
Stop the stove and let it 'breath' for 2 minutes.
Take out the mamaliga from the pot to a dish or anything else.
