After the rally at Ed Smith Stadium, Sen. Barack Obama makes a stop at a pumpkin stand at the First United Methodist Church in downtown Sarasota on Thursday.

After his speech today in Sarasota, Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama's motorcade left Ed Smith Stadium and make a pit stop for pumpkins in the parking lot across from First United Methodist Church.

Mike Dull, director of the church youth program, urged Obama to buy a reddish pumpkin covered with warts.

"It just needs a lot of love," Dull said.

Obama appeared to consider it for half a second before shaking his head.

"I think you're gonna have to wait for Charlie Brown to buy that pumpkin," Obama said.

He bought $37 worth of pumpkins -- two $6 pumpkins for himself and one big one for needy children -- and left a $13 tip.

Dull said he had no idea Obama was stopping in, and later told reporters that he was voting for McCain.

"I teach the children here to pray for the best man to win," Dull said.

"Personally I feel that I have to vote for experience. I'm going to vote for John McCain. But I think Barack Obama is a very courageous young man and I appreciate what he's doing for America and what he has done."
