Better more expensive headsets
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great sound quality headset. We own two. Comfortable also which is a major plus. Our first headset hooked right up with no problem. We didn't need to use any audio cable. Very simple. Unfortunately the second set would not work right . Although both xbox units are hooked up via hdmi cable to the tv, the second headset needed to use the audio hookup. The problem at that point was that the audio cable for xbox plugs in next to thehdmi cable. The audio plug- in has a lip on it that makes it impossible to use at the same time as the hdmi so an additional $20 cable will be needed. If you purchase the headset on sale, the money saved will pay for this added expense if you need to purchase it. In the end you still have saved money vs. A more expensive headset. Have had no problems with either set and would buy again.

Some Assembly Required
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound quality is quite good and the headphones are very comfortable. The separate volume control for chat and game sound is very useful. The price was also good since they were bought on a Black Friday sale. On the downside, when I went to hook them up I discovered I needed to purchase an adapter for my XBox (other options given were not practical for me). The adapter was not too pricy but it required another trip to the store. If I had to do it over again I'd save my money and get a wireless version. The wires included with this unit are long enough to stretch across the room but you are always having to deal with 20 feet of wire getting snarled, etc. Coiling and uncoiling the wires is a pain and I should have gone wireless. If you get this item make sure to get the adapter to plug in the back of your XBox at the same time.

Great quality, decent price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The quality of this headset is very good. Everything feels solid, the microphone picks up my voice very well, though it seems a little too sensitive at times, because it picks up every sound in my house, including my old, super loud gas furnace about 15 feet away and that can annoy anyone that I'm in a party with on Xbox Live. Sound is great, picks up tons of little details while playing anything from Call of Duty to NHL14. Not sure if it's just a cord or if it's the connection of the wire to the ear cup, but every so often I've had some small issues with not being able to hear people or them not being able to hear me, and I have to mess with the wires a bit. This review was prompted after I bought my brother a set of these to replace the ones that he had that broke after more than a year's use and abuse. This is the same set, as he was happy with them and the price was reasonable compared to others. The problems that I mentioned before were from my headset that I've owned for over a year now and still works, albeit with a little hassle every so often. Great quality, took some abuse over the year+ that I've owned mine, and I'll probably keep coming back to Turtle Beach, unless someone like SteelSeries blows me out of the water with something at a reasonable price. Lastly, the only thing that I wish was different about these was that I wish they had removable/replaceable earcups... In the warmer months they can get a little hot/sweaty/dirty and I wish I could swap them out with new ones, but they appear to be permanently fastened.

Great wired headset
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, I bought this for my son so that he could play XBox with his friends online and not disturb the rest of the family. His old headset microphone didn't pick up sound and he ended up yelling a lot. This headset definitely solved that problem. Not only does the headset have amazing sound, this headset allows the wearer to hear their own voice as it is picked up by the microphone. This keeps everybody happy. My son's friends can hear him without him yelling, and the rest of the family is happy because they have peace and quiet. The first drawback to this headset is that it has a lot of wire. This is nice for the wearer in that it lets him or her move a significant distance from the console. The downside of that is that it is easy to forget that this headset isn't wireless which usually results in pulling the console off the shelf. I would recommend to those who can afford it, to choose the next model up and go wireless. The second drawback is that the headset comes without all the required hardware to make it work. To use this headset, you will need an adapter that converts the mini jacks to your console's input method. Fortunately, we had the converter that came with one of our learn-to-play guitar games for the Xbox. This wouldn't be an issue with a wireless headset which is why this headset gets four out of five stars.

Best Turtle Beach Headphones yet!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are fairly priced and very comfortable. They have great sound quality and I use them on my pc. You can adjust all the features including the bass and they work great for gaming! The cord is extra long so I can move around if I need to get out of the chair for anything. After using other headphones, I wouldn't buy anything else but Turtle Beach for the price.

Great Value Headphones
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although these aren't the cheapest Turtle Beach headphones, they're definitely one of the less expensive models. Despite that, they're a great value. The headphones are generally comfortable and large enough so that it won't hurt your ears even after prolonged use. Speaker and microphone sound quality are also good. Although maybe not up to par for some audiophiles, sound quality is excellent for most users. The only downside I found is with the cable management that comes with a wired headset. Although having a wireless headset may have its benefits, you can't beat the reliability of a wired headset. Also, putting up with the excess of cables is a small price to pay for not running out of battery and having to swap out new ones mid-game. Overall, I recommend any headset over the ones that come included with the Xbox (or any console), and these are definitely a good value for comfort and sound quality.

Speakers: Great, Mic: Fair, Attachments: Fair
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The speakers are fantastic and deliver clear sound. The mic has a tendency to pick up sounds from far away at higher volumes than your own voice right near the mic. The mute switch breaks very easily; if you use it a decent amount at all it'll go out within a month. When I buy something like this, I expect it to last, but within four months it wasn't working correctly and I had to go exchange it. I recommend this mic to anyone for minor use if you're not buying a warranty with it. If you want it, it is a good mic, but buy the warranty because using enough will break it down within 4 months. As a note, I do use this about 12 hours a day every single day, so a lot of mine is likely wear and tear, but it should last a lot longer than 4 months, especially for the price.

Amazing Headset for intense Gaming
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was kind of skeptical about this item and was thinking of getting some other brand of headphones for my Xbox, but after some extensive research and reading through product reviews I found that a lot of people were happy and giving these headsets some really great reviews, so I decided to try them out. Now I wish I would have gotten them sooner. These X12 are so amazing, that I could hear things in video games I didn't hear before, and the best part is that they are super comfortable. When I start playing games and put these on, I forget I even have them on. The cushions on them are soft and cancel out outside noise pretty well, and the bass on these are so sweet. Also, the microphone is super sensitive I don't have to scream in order to have my friends hear me. Its such a great product that I feel like I got my money's worth on this item, I highly recommend these Turtle Beach X12 Headset to anyone looking for a great gaming headset for a reasonable price.

Q: Questionwhat accessories are needed to use/plug headset in Xbox 360 or PC or does the headset come with these items?
Asked by Hunter.
- A:Answer It comes with everything you need. For the xbox 360 you will actually plug into your TV's AV plugs and the mic jack will plug into your controller. For PC you will plug directly into the PC like you normally would with any other MIC.

Q: Questioncan this be used with an older televisionis it both plug in and wireless
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer It's wired only. If you mean an older television as in something without a USB port, the answer is no. I tried plugging in the headphone lead and plugging the USB lead into a 2.1 amp charger, but there was no sound. I don't have a newer TV (headphone jacks plus USB ports) to test this on, but I think the answer would be no there too since this would be similar to the headphone+USB charger method I tried.

Q: QuestionWhich Ones are better PX22 or PX12
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer PX22 works with more gaming consoles. PX12 is limited to XBox360 & PC—no PS3 or mobile gaming or Mac. Otherwise very little difference, aside from some styling. Blue/White vs. Green. $10. Note that you may need an additional adapter for some consoles.
