    This is on a 1998 palomino camper with aluminum roof. I cleaned the seams with dish soap and water. Then rubbing alcohol. Then denatured alcohol and then acetone before putting on the roof tape. I would hope that got it clean. It didn't stick the best, better if you caulk the edge. It is not leaking yet though.

    I could not get the backing to come off. Then as I was trying to get it loose all of it came off except one corner and it was stuck to the backing. Got it stuck on the roof and the section I was having problems with has wrinkles in it when I applied it to the roof. It seemed to stick ok. I used the cleaning soap they sell and the denatured alcohol. Will have to see how it holds up.

    I had a hard time getting the clear liner off. The adhesive stuck to it, could not peel it off. My wife suggested I put it in the refrigerator for a little while. I put it in for an hour, what do you know, the liner came right off.
    If you live in a warm/hot area, try this trick. Don't dally around otherwise it will warm up and stick to the liner again. Make sure you clean the area very well and you wipe down with alcohol. Consider using Dicor Lap sealant around the perimeter edges for a good seal.
    I used it on the rubber roof of my RV.

    Dicor’s Diseal tape works as advertised. It’s relatively easy to apply, but you need to have all surfaces clean, rinsed, scuffed up & dry. I was not able to obtain Denatured Alcohol, (because of California environmental laws), to clean the surfaces so I used Isopropyl Alcohol, (rubbing alcohol available at your local drug store). It worked fine to remove any residue that might affect the Diseal tape from sticking. (I would NOT recommend using mineral spirits of any sort as it will leave an oily film), my opinion. Take your time, go slow, use a wallpaper seam roller to get out any air bubbles, it does the job!

    This stuff is great, used to repair some torn TPO roof membrane on the edge of the roof. I put it on in the longest continuous strip I could manage (about 5’ long). It took a lot of careful maneuvering but it went down with minimal wrinkles. Used a rubber roller to roll flat and dicor self levelling sealant to go around the edges. I put it on in early spring and after checking it in the summer it has a few more wrinkles and bumps, probably just from expansion due to the temperature change, I’m not really worried about it. No leaks!
