Padangusthasana & Padahastasana

Published by omkaryogapalau

I was born and raised on the island of Palau. I struggled as a child, faced with a number of serious encounters and setbacks. In my late twenties, I decided to turn my life around. As I found Yoga, as my personal practice, it helps me to know I would awaken my strong, resilient, and determined soul. In my early thirties, after my first Yoga certification from San Diego, California, I moved to India where I began my conquest in the study of Yoga. During my journey, I really fell in love with the idea of teaching Yoga and the practice of Yoga itself. I began studying and learning about Ashtanga Yoga poses and the science behind it, how it activates Chakras in the human body and its natural healing method. After much Yoga training abroad, I decided it was the right time to move back to my homeland and open up my own Practice and studio, known as “Omkar Yoga”. The word “Omkar” comes from the Palauan Language meaning, “to heal”.

  1. Very nice! Best of luck to you. Also, in Sanskrit, “Omkar” means the “Sound Body” of Spirit Itself, so that is why OM is said in Vedanta Philosophy to be the Word, Name, Sound, Vibration, and Essence of God/Truth/Spirit. Keep up the great work.
