The old Red Car line stopped behind the Woolworth’s. You walked down some stairs, through the doors and you were right there at the counter.

I don’t know the exact measurement, Fred, but I would guess “really, really, really long”!
I’m not 100% sure, but I suspect the building is still there. If you go to this image, it looks like it could have been a Woolworth’s.

Wrong Woolworth’s. The Ross is on the 700 block of Broadway. This is at 431 S Broadway. The building is still there and per the images on google street view, some of the original flooring might be inside too.
