I give a 5 star review to Dr.Buruiana's bedside manner, charm, patience and personal organization plus their protection of patients during Covid 19, cleanliness plus social distancing. I didn't have to wait extremely long as other patients stated but if there was a wait I think it was because she takes time to go over things with you and might cover other things than what you expected in your visit. I waited maybe 30 minutes my first visit and ten minutes on the follow up visit.

The office is lovely in a good location just be prepared to wait for the elevator because this building is notorious for its slow and out of order elevators but at no fault of the Dr. Also it's a door man building.

Their protocol is for you to get billing codes for procedures from them and check with your insurance to see if you are covered. If you don't mind having to call your insurance company it's no big deal. I got an email from the Drs office saying it was because they don't have the resources to call on every procedure and it's to avoid any surprise bills but my insurance told me in writing if any procedure performed is not medically necessary the office has to inform you before it may not be covered and get written consent you accept that and the patient is not responsible otherwise and there should never be.

The Dr wanted to go over my first visit test results by televisit and they have a form you have to sign by email but they said they would mail it to me but said also verbal acceptance was only necessary not signed form so there sometimes is a bit of miscommunication of information at the front desk so just follow up.
Also if you want to write the office with a question apparently there is a portal as well that you have to set up a televist which the Dr prefers.

This was my first ever gynecologist appointment, and I was shocked about how easy and stress free Dr Elena made it feel. She was so calming, thoughtful, and professional. She really took the time to explain everything, and is genuine caring human! Highly recommended!!!

By far the best GYNECOLOGIST in NYC. Caring, patient, open minded, versatile, and open to alternatives. She knows her s*#t let's just say. Been to others on and off due to insurance changes at work but it only made me appreciate her all the more!! Glad I am back and I would trade all my doctors just to have her!

Five stars for Dr. Buruiana; one star for the physician's assistant who ruins my visits.

Dr. Buruiana is caring and gentle during exams. In fact, she's the only doctor I've seen that can perform those exams painlessly.

The assistant, however, is so condescending that I'm debating switching doctors. You can read other negative comments about her. Without going into much detail, I have an unconventional lifestyle (which is no way risky), and the assistant kept glaring and lecturing me about it. Another time, a prescription ran out and I went to Dr. Buruiana for a follow-up visit. The assistant said, "You weren't supposed to stop taking your medicine!" Well, Dr. Buruiana gave me a trial prescription so I could come for a follow-up. What else was I supposed to do? Another time, the assistant was trying to move things along and said I could undress while she asked me a bunch of questions. No thank you.

You're at your most vulnerable when seeing an OBGYN. It saddens me that my visits are stressful because of this one person. I write this hoping that the staffing will change.

The minute I walked in Dr.Buruiana Elena 's office I knew I was in a good hands !
Very attentive and friendly staff,great communication between patient and doctor and also within 10 minutes my sonogram was done I received the email/portal with all the infos. State of the art equipment !!!
Dr.Buruiana is very kind and makes you feel comfortable in her elegant office !

I highly recommend Dr. Buruiana! I have been her patient for over 15 years and she is an excellent doctor who truly gets to know and cares about her patients. Her staff is fantastic, and the office is luxurious, spa-like, and conveniently located near Bloomingdale's.

There is always a minimum of one hour wait to see the doctor so plan ahead. Way ahead. And although Dr. Buriana is in network and she bills me, I kind of have to see her assistant because the doctor is way too booked when I need her.

Pros: beautiful fancy office; sometimes she can be quite attentive and gentle; web based profile system (if you are into that kind of stuff)

Cons: now charging a "admin fee" for no reason to all (not covered by insurance not included in copay); wait is on average 1.5 hours for anything. They expect you to do your own followups by checking your profile for results.

Tip: You can totally be 20 minutes late and still get there and wait an hour.

I had my first visit for an annual w/Dr. Buruiana. The office was very chic and pretty. The doctor meets with you first and gets to know you, medical history, and any concerns you may have. She was super warm, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. I really appreciate when doctor share their epidemiological knowledge of diseases - not many do! She takes her time with you and makes sure you don't feel rushed, but is also mindful of your time.

I had to wait a bit before I saw the doctor. It seemed like a hectic day for the office, but everyone was super nice and welcoming. The doctor and staff apologized for any waiting/delay multiple times. Since I was getting such great quality of care I honestly didn't mind the wait.

I'm beyond grateful to have found Dr. Buruiana. I wasn't getting the proper treatment before, and then someone recommended me her. She is an exceptional doctor! She takes the time to sit with you, get to know you, and talk about any health issues or concerns you have. She is a genuine doctor who sincerely cares, and that's rare to come across these days. I recommend her to anyone that needs a gynecologist. Also super clean beautiful office, and very friendly staff!
