Who is Anamaria Marinca?

Born April 1, 1978, Anamaria Marinca is a Romina actress and was born in Iasi.

Her mother is a classically trained violinist and her dad was a theatre professor.

Anamaria first rose to fame in her screen debut with Channel 4's film Sex Traffic in 2004.

For her role, Anamaria was awarded a BAFTA TV Award for Best Actress.

What else has Anamaria starred in?

Anamaria followed up her work in Sex Traffic with her role in 2007's critically-acclaimed Romanian flick, 4 months, 3 weeks and 2 days.

The 40-year-old then moved to London and appeared in small roles in Holby City and Doctor Who.

She starred alongside Brad Pitt in 2014's American war film Fury.

Her latest role was in 2017's science-fiction epic, Ghost in the Shell, with Scarlett Johansson.

In 2018, she became the newest cast member of Midsomer Murders.

When does Midsomer Murders series 20 start on ITV?

Midsomer Murder fans have had quite a long wait for new episodes, with the last one airing back in late 2016.

Thankfully, the first episode of series 20 will air on ITV on Sunday, 13 May at 8pm.

The series is based on Caroline Graham's Chief Inspector Barnaby book series.

All the episodes are set in modern-day England in a picturesque but positively deadly village called Midsomer.
