The Jonas Brothers’ newly released documentary, Chasing Happiness, is proving to be even more insightful than expected for the JoBros fandom. The documentary, which premiered on Amazon on June 4, unveils everything from the trio’s childhood moments in New Jersey to the apparent inspiration behind "Lovebug," and the brothers' biggest regret: JONAS L.A.

In case you need to jog your memory, in 2009, after Camp Rock’s success, Nick, Joe, and Kevin starred in an original Disney Channel comedy series, JONAS. In it, the trio portrayed semiautobiographical versions of themselves as a band — they were originally intended to be secret agents — and even penned original songs.

In 2010, the series went on for a second season, known as JONAS L.A., before it was canceled. In Chasing Happiness, Nick reveals he wasn’t a fan of the series’ second iteration, going as far as to call it the band’s biggest regret. “We shouldn’t have done that. It really stunted our growth, you know? I feel like it was just a bad move,” Nick admits in the doc, per JustJaredJr. “It was just not the time. Literally, we couldn’t evolve because of it.”

And Nick wasn’t the only brother who felt that way. Joe reportedly also confesses that "the show was not good.” He recalls of the show’s sophomore season, “It didn’t feel like it was us anymore. It felt young, and we’re becoming adults.” The third strike comes from Kevin, who says the series just wasn’t a fit for them after the first season. “It was not on brand for us, with the band we were becoming, the songs we were writing. I think that affected the perception of the band, that we were a joke," he recounts in the doc. "They’re not real. They’re robots.”

Sure, the series wasn't perfect, but at least we got Nick Jonas serenading Bridgit Mendler with "Give Love a Try" — thanks for the memories JONAS.
