Inside Out: Paul Sculfor

5 April 2012

Now exercising his acting muscle, his first feature film, the horror movie

Vivid,

Paul keeps an eye on his figure: 'I have always eaten well and have to keep trim for my job, but I do love an English breakfast and a bit of pie and mash every now and again,' he admits. But living in LA has changed his habits: 'I try to eat organic as much as I can and I don't drink alcohol any more. I hate packaged food; fresh produce just tastes better.'

Who would join you for a sofa supper?
My mates Bertil Espegren, a Norwegian model, and artist David Malatesta. They're great company and we always have a laugh.
What would you eat?
A frisée salad with grilled chicken breast, crispy bacon, roquefort cheese and truf.e oil, followed by salmon with sautéed potatoes and green beans.
What's for pudding?
Sticky toffee pudding.
And to drink?
I would be on the soda and lime, but I would get red Bordeaux, a 1987 Château Cheval-Blanc, for the boys.
What is on the television?
Top Gear.
What are your five favourite restaurants around the world?
E Baldi in Beverly Hills is a great Italian restaurant. I had an amazing cheese and truf.e ravioli last time I was there. It was spectacular. De Fune on George Street, W1, is a quiet and immaculate Japanese restaurant. They have a room downstairs which is perfect for large groups. When I am in New York I always have breakfast at Café Cluny in the West Village, and in London, you can't beat Le Caprice. Joe's Stone Crab in Miami is one of the few places where you are required to dress up. I like that it's more traditional. I used to go there all the time when I lived there.
