Italian cyclist Marco Pantani the “Pirate”“The Space” is the title of the film directed by James Erskine that recall the great successes of the “Pirate”: man against the mountain, the athlete against addiction, Marco Pantani against himself. A documentary with archive footages, interviews and testimonies of family and friends close to the sample, an opportunity to relive the ups and downs, in sports as in life, this myth troubled Italian sport. In 1998, Marco Pantani won both the Tour de France and “Giro d’Italia”: a massive undertaking in which no athlete before made it. The film has been invited to participate in “Sport Movies & Tv 2014” which will take place in Milan from 3 to 8 December.
