  1. James Clerk Maxwell He calculated the speed of light. He also told people that you could take pictures with color.

  2. What he did • He was known for calculating the speed of propagation of an electromagnetic field as approximately that of the speed of light.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electromagnetic_theory. He also wrote a paper about color and color blindness and wrote a lecture that they could use color for pictures and other people.

  3. Location He was born in Edinburgh, Scotland. Then he moved to England and started his studies.

  4. Time period • He lived in 1831 to 1879 he was only 48 when he died.

  5. How he has changed the world • We would not be able to tell how far away star s are and there would not be light years. If he didn’t find the speed of light.
