Counselling is about you. You may come with worries and concerns, feeling unsure about which direction to take, feeling stuck or weighed down. Counselling is also about us. We will develop our relationship in a safe space where you can talk about anything. For some, this may be initially difficult. Though counselling isn’t meant to be easy, you may feel that it gets easier beyond the opening sessions. You will be the judge of how deep we go and when you are ready for this to happen. I believe that healing takes place within the relationship where I offer warmth and understanding along with genuineness.
My person-centred practice puts you and your feelings at the centre of our work together. Rather than give you advice, I am there to listen, to be alongside you when you explore whatever comes up and we will work together at your speed.As a professional counsellor and therapist, I have the training and experience to help you to navigate your distress.
Counselling is a unique experience and is different for everybody. I hope that you find the counselling experience to match your needs.
