"On behalf of the PARTA Board of Trustees and employees, please know that we share a deep commitment to providing equitable, accessible, and sustainable public transportation to everyone who uses our service."

– Claudia B. Amrhein
     General Manager,  Secretary-Treasurer

For more than 45 years, PARTA has safely transported people to work, school, medical and dialysis appointments, grocery stores, and other essential services and destinations in and around Portage County via fixed route and shared-ride public transit services.

As PARTA has grown, so too has our presence in the community. In 2013, we opened the Kent Central Gateway Multimodal Facility in downtown Kent. The Gateway offers a 10-bus bay transfer center, 348-space public parking deck, electric vehicle charging stations, ground-level retail spaces, and features a Veterans Memorial.  Kent City Health Department also is housed at the Gateway in office space located on the second level of the facility.

Real-time bus tracking is available through our new PASSIO GO! app. Download the free app from the Google Play or Apple app stores, or visit www.passiogo.com to locate buses in transit, view route maps, view stops, see schedules, see estimated time of arrivals, and receive agency messages and alerts. PASSIO GO! takes the guesswork out of travel and lets you track PARTA fixed-route buses from your phone, laptop, or tablet.

Purchase tickets to ride with PARTA anytime, anywhere using our EZfare mobile ticketing app. Download the free app, create an account, choose PARTA from the list of transit providers, select the fare you wish to purchase, and enter your payment information. Tickets can be stored in the app until you are ready to use them.  Activate your ticket just before boarding the bus. Your phone becomes your ticket. Just scan the bar code upon boarding. It's that easy!

In 2018, PARTA opened the first and only Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) fueling station in Portage County. Open to the public, the station also fuels PARTA's CNG buses helping to improve air quality by lowering harmful emissions produced by our transit vehicles.  In embracing CNG, PARTA has made a significant economic and environmental investment to benefit our county today and in the future.

We thank you for your support and welcome your comments about your experience with PARTA as we work continually to make a positive impact on the Portage County community through our transportation services.
