Sourced in South West France these vintage metal containers would have been worn on the backs of the vineyard workers as they picked grapes.
Known as grape hods these date from around 1900. Complete with their original leather straps. Lovely patina and wear to the original paint which is a fantastic colour. Structurally good and sound.
We have these at home either side of the log burner full of logs.
