ROCHESTER (AP) >> The next owner of Rochester’s Eastman Business Park will get more than the many buildings on the 1,200-acre property. They’ll also get the grave of the man who revolutionized the photography industry.

The ashes of George Eastman, founder of Eastman Kodak, are buried under a memorial located on what is now the Eastman Business Park. Earlier this week, Kodak announced that it has put the entire industrial property up for sale. The property has its own utility system, an in-plant railroad, more than 50 tenant companies currently – and the Eastman Memorial.

The Democrat and Chronicle of Rochester reports that Kodak said in a statement that the company “will include provision for appropriate upkeep of this important site.”
