About this image
New silver-plated sword in the Secret Of The Silver Blades collection.
The Dacian Falx: a brutal, forward-curved sword that hit with the tip like a Lucerne hammer, except with a sword behind it to continue shearing through. It could actually puncture a Roman helmet or split a Roman shield. It also allowed some limited degree of hitting around a shield, for example to attack the sword hand, and a very nasty kind of pull-cut.
It actually forced Trajan to stop the campaign to upgrade the armour of his legions mid-campaign. It's the only known occasion when the Romans did that.
It just seemed like a natural addition to a game where half the players will be fighting against the Imperial Legion. If you want to give the Imperials a run for their money, yeah, this is the weapon that historically did just that. :p

It bears mentioning though that the representations on Trajan's column are more like a regular Rhomphaia, though. Although in that case it wouldn't be clear why the Romans had to change their armour mid-campaign. A Rhomphaia wouldn't have needed cross-bars on the helmet to stop. This kind of thing does.
But yeah, while the degree of forward curve is a matter of debate -- i.e., whether it's like this or the more gentle curve on the column -- forwards curved swords were actually very common in the iron age.
That blade is a piece of history from Romania, former Dacia...
