Who is the current owner Miss Universe?

Anne Jakapong Jakrajutatip, a Thai business mogul and transgender activist, is the current owner of Miss Universe.

In October last year, she announced the purchase of the pageant for US$20 million with the aim of making the organization more "inclusive" and also to hold the famous pageant "more frequently in Thailand," reports El Colombiano.

Anne Jakapong Jakrajutatip is CEO of media and content conglomerate JKN Global Group.

The company acquired the rights to the Miss Universe pageant from New York-based IMG Worldwide LLC, a sports, talent and event marketing company in charge of the pageant since 2015, for US$20 million.

It should be recalled that former U.S. President Donald Trump was co-owner of the rights to the pageant from 1996 until the acquisition by IMG in 2015.
