Lessons from the past for today. It is interesting to see ChatGPT's response to the question if Josiah Wedgwood was alive today, what would he be advocating for? A reminder of what it important for me to fight for...
"It's difficult to say exactly what Josiah Wedgwood would be advocating if he were alive today, as the social and political issues of the modern world are very different from those of his time. However, based on his known beliefs and values, it's likely that he would be advocating for a number of causes related to social justice, environmental protection, and human rights.
For example, given his work to abolish the transatlantic slave trade and his advocacy for workers' rights, Wedgwood might be a strong supporter of movements to end modern-day slavery and human trafficking, and to promote fair labor practices and a living wage for all workers.
He might also be concerned about environmental issues such as climate change, and could be an advocate for the conservation of natural resources and the promotion of sustainable practices in industry and agriculture.
Given his support for education and social welfare programs, Wedgwood might also be an advocate for universal access to healthcare and education, and for policies that promote economic equality and social mobility.
Overall, while it's impossible to know for certain what Josiah Wedgwood would be advocating if he were alive today, it's likely that he would be passionate about causes that promote social justice, human rights, and environmental protection, and that he would use his resources and influence to make a positive difference in the world." #climatechange #healthcare #work #education

1yTom Wedgwood thank you for sharing this I have to tell you that when we researched and delivered our Wedgewood dining experience last December we unearthed some majorly charged creative energy. The connection we built to Josiahs life was significant. This has given us so much to go at through this year. If you believe in sycronicity of numbers, through the research I stumbled upon the coincidence that the year of Wedgwood creation (also the same as the year of his death 1759 and 1795 respectively) I added these numbers up to discover that the total was 22. It might sound odd but this has given us great impetus during this year 2022. It’s just the start for us. The connection that we made during the event to Josiah Wedgewoods legacy and achievements gave us such belief this year. I’m so thankful for that.
