Best Waterfront Wedding Venues at the Jersey Shore
New Jersey takes up roughly 130 miles of coastline on the East Coast, so naturally beach weddings, or lakefront and bayside weddings are highly desired here. We’ve compiled a list of some of our favorite Jersey Shore wedding venues on the water to help you with your wedding planning.
Living at the Jersey Shore, we’ve photographed quite a few weddings along the coast. Waterfront wedding venues typically offer outdoor ceremony spaces and an outdoor cocktail hour with ocean and lakeside or bayside views. Amazing seafood is always a plus!
Bay Head Yacht Club
Bay Head Yacht Club is for members only, or you must be sponsored by a member. They offer the Boat House for on-site wedding ceremonies, outdoor cocktail hour on the upper deck overlooking the water, and a gorgeous reception room, full of wood beams, string lights, and lots of windows to enjoy the view. Mallard Island Yacht Club
Mallard Island Yacht Club is part of the Weddings of Distinction venues in New Jersey. They offer the boat house chapel for wedding ceremonies, an upper deck overlooking the Barnegat Bay, and floor to ceiling windows throughout the reception room to enjoy the view all night long. There is also a gorgeous garden area with lawn games, as well as on on-site salon.
Bonnet Island Estate
Bonnet Island Estate is part of the Weddings of Distinction venues as well. This venue is very similar to Mallard Island Yacht Club.
Mantoloking Yacht Club
Mantoloking Yacht Club holds weddings for members and non-members if you are sponsored by a member. Here you’ll find beautiful, tented receptions and gorgeous sunsets.
Clark Landing Yacht Club
Clarks Landing Yacht Club in Point Pleasant offers an on-site ceremony space on the upper deck overlooking the water, and a marina that has gorgeous views of the sunset. I especially love their unique ballroom with colored lights in the ceiling and the white glove food service. 5 star menu! Update: they now have a glass enclosed ceremony space!
The Reeds at Shelter Haven
The Reeds at Shelter Haven is a coastal-chic wedding venue on the southern New Jersey shore. Ceremonies are held on the sundeck overlooking the water and their reception room has an open-air concept seating 220 guests. Check out another Fall wedding at The Reeds.
Toms River Yacht Club
Toms River Yacht Club is what I believe to be a hidden gem in Ocean County. With the sun setting across the river, the outdoor ceremony always looks gorgeous and there are plenty of places nearby to take photos if you wanted to go off-site.
Jack Baker’s Lobster Shanty
The Sunset Ballroom at Jack Baker’s Lobster Shanty in Point Pleasant, NJ offers panoramic views of the water and beautiful sunsets. You’ll find elegant decor, floor to ceiling windows and seating for up to 220 guests.
The Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel
The Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel is a historic landmark in Asbury Park, NJ. It has a European-style vibe and offers easy access to the beach, boardwalk, shops and restaurants for your guests to enjoy a long weekend. Spring Lake Bath and Tennis Club
Spring Lake Bath and Tennis Club is right ON the beach, giving your guests spectacular views of the ocean and includes a private beach access. Outdoor ceremonies take place under the covered East deck and the venue also boasts an Olympic sized outdoor swimming pool.
Monmouth Beach Bath and Tennis Club
Monmouth Beach Bath and Tennis Club is another oceanfront wedding venue at the Jersey Shore. They have an open air patio space which is great for the reception. So many great photo opportunities!
Wave Resort
Wave Resort in Long Branch, NJ has floor to ceiling windows in the reception room giving beautiful views all day.
The Breakers on the Ocean
The Breakers on the Ocean is nice and centrally located in one of our favorite coastal towns, Spring Lake, NJ. Most of our couples do portraits at Divine Park nearby as well as the beach or boardwalk close to the venue. One of the perks of this venue is it has rooms for your guests to stay. Windows on the Water at Sea Bright
Windows on the Water at Sea Bright has amazing views of the Atlantic Ocean with a private beach access. You can get married right on the beach under the gazebo. The food is great and the staff is so helpful!
Crystal Point Yacht Club
Crystal Point Yacht Club is another waterfront wedding venue that has hotel rooms for you and your guests. They can also attend your wedding by boat! They have a nice outdoor ceremony space and if there is inclement weather, there is also a place indoors.
Martime Parc
Maritime Parc is the perfect venue that combines the city vibe and coastal elegance along the Hudson River. There is a ton of variety for photos in Liberty State Park!
Liberty House
Liberty House is right next door to Maritime Parc in Liberty State Park. It overlooks the New York City skyline and the Hudson River.
