• While Nick Jonas recently married Priyanka Chopra, and Joe Jonas famously wed Sophie Turner in Las Vegas, Kevin Jonas has been married for a lot longer than his brothers.
  • Kevin married his wife, Danielle Jonas, on December 19, 2009—and they now have two children together.
  • Danielle and Kevin starred in their own reality show called Married to Jonas between 2012 and 2013.

The Jonas Brothers are having a moment right now. From the immense success of their single "Sucker," to their documentary Chasing Happiness, to their BAZAAR.com digital cover, the famous singers and their wives have captured the zeitgeist.

While the world is well acquainted with Joe Jonas's beau (Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner) and Nick's partner-in-crime (actress Priyanka Chopra), some fans might be less familiar with Kevin's wife, Danielle Jonas—but she's an integral part of the growing Jonas family.

Here's everything you need to know about the first member of the "J Sisters."

She considers New Jersey home.

Per Refinery29, Kevin's wife was born Danielle Deleasa. And just like the Jonas Brothers, she was raised in New Jersey. Hailing from Denville, NJ, Danielle was living with her parents and working as a hairdresser when she first met Kevin.

Danielle and Kevin still live in New Jersey, and were recently spotted shopping at the Willowbrook Mall together in Wayne, New Jersey, per Page Six.

Danielle didn't know who the Jonas Brothers were when they met in the Bahamas.

Despite living so close to one another growing up (the Jonas Brothers lived in Wyckoff, NJ, before moving to Little Falls, NJ), the lovebirds didn't meet at home. Instead, their encounter took place in the Bahamas in May 2007, while both were on vacation with their respective families.

Old footage in the Chasing Happiness documentary revealed an adorable moment in 2007, when Kevin's brothers interrupted a phone call he was having with Danielle. Nick quipped, "Sorry. We were just excited because she's your wife." Yes, Nick Jonas basically predicted the future.

According to People, "It was Kevin who eagerly pursued her after meeting her and then spotting her walking on the beach with a flower in her hair." Meanwhile, Danielle told the publication, "I didn’t know who the Jonas Brothers were."

She got engaged and married in December 2009.

Danielle and Kevin announced their engagement in July 2009, per People. Kevin revealed that he'd proposed right after playing a concert with his brothers. "It was tough performing last night, knowing that I was going to ask the biggest question in my life to the most amazing girl in the world," he told the publication. Danielle reportedly gave approximately 500 resounding yeses in reply.

In December 2018, Kevin celebrated his anniversary by posting several wedding photos on Instagram along with the caption, "I can’t believe I have been lucky enough to call you my wife and best friend for 9 years."

Per People, the couple's "fairytale wedding" took place in Oheka Castle on Long Island. The publication noted that "a blizzard threatened" the nuptials, but party planner Michael Russo revealed that the snow "only made it look more like a winter wonderland." The bride and groom served their guests Caribbean, Asian, and Italian cuisine.

Adorably, Danielle is said to have recreated the first time she met Kevin by wearing "a silk-and-crystal flower in her hair designed by Denise Leli, because she was wearing one when she met Kevin in the Bahamas," People reports.

Married to Jonas gave an inside look at Danielle & Kevin's relationship.

Before the Jonas Brothers reunited, Kevin had his own reality show with his wife. Married to Jonas focused on Danielle and Kevin's lives as newlyweds. While the show was short-lived and only ran between 2012 and 2013, it was clear that the couple's connection was strong.

As Kevin told PR.com in 2012, "So many people have said that to us, like, 'You’re so young, why the rush to get married?' But honestly, from the minute we met to the minute we got married, we wanted to do things our way. We’ll do kids in our time as well."

She has two daughters with Kevin.

Danielle and Kevin welcomed their first daughter, Alena Rose, in February 2014, per Entertainment Tonight. They welcomed their second daughter, Valentina Angelina, in October 2016, via People.

Kevin is seriously committed to his family, and PopSugar recently noted that the musician's guitar pick is actually a sweet tribute—while one side reads "K & D" (for Kevin and Danielle), the other features "A & V" (for Alena and Valentina). I'm officially dead.

She's one of the "J Sisters."

Along with Chopra and Turner, Danielle Jonas is one of the self-dubbed J Sisters. As the wives of the Jonas Brothers, the three women have a special bond, which they made clear at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards.

Fans previously suspected there was a feud with Priyanka when Danielle didn't attend the actress's bachelorette party and posted a photo with just Sophie Turner, per Refinery29. However, Danielle set the record straight on Instagram by commenting, "Nope, no shade about Priyanka. It’s just Sophie’s birthday so I wanted to say happy birthday." She continued, "I think everyone should stop with thinking that we don’t like Priyanka she is lovely. Iam [sic] so over people trying to make a problem."

Danielle started an eponymous jewelry company.

Speaking to Forbes in May 2019, Danielle explained her inspiration for founding her namesake jewelry company."Growing up I’ve always seen my grandmother and mother have such unique and beautiful jewelry," she said. "I would always go through their jewelry boxes and try anything I could get my hands on and I remember always being attracted to the delicate and dainty pieces, ones that allowed me to mix, match, and stack."

Having now launched the jewelry collections Moments and Essentials, Danielle is forging ahead with her own career, so expect to hear a lot more from her in the future.
