Miss Austria 2019

The 90th edition of Miss Austria happened in great style at the Museum Angerlehner, in Wels. Larissa Robitschko, 22, from Styria, was elected Miss Austria 2019.

Third place went to Miss Tirol Beate Berger, 25. Second place was shared by Vice-Miss-Lower Austria Melissa Deyer, 20, and Miss Salzburg Angela Windhofer, 19.

There are rumors that the new Miss Austria will compete in Miss Universe this year, instead of Miss World, which has not been officially confirmed. Austria has won the Miss World title twice, in 1969 and 1987. It has never had a Miss Universe, and the last time it placed in the US-based pageant was in a distant 1977, when Eva Maria Düringer was the 1st runner-up.

Congratulations to the 90th Miss Austria, wherever she gets to go…
