Wedding Makeup How-To: Copy This Subtle Loveliness From The Chanel Show

Not sure what sort of makeup to wear on your wedding day, but know you want it to be extra-special? This Chanel runway look would be gorgeous on just about any bride--here's how you can copy it.

Not sure what sort of makeup to wear on your wedding day, but know you want it to be extra-special? This Chanel runway look would be gorgeous on just about any bride--here's how you can copy it.

For the Spring 2010 Ready-to-Wear show, Chanel makeup creative director Peter Philips created this softly romantic look.

Obviously, the pearl facial studs are optional (now that would be a memorable statement!), but otherwise, wouldn't this understated makeup scheme be lovely on a bride? It's luminous enough to make your features stand out without making you look like an entirely different (really made-up) person. If you'd like to copy this look for your wedding day, here are the exact products Philips used on the models:

On the eyes:

Illusion D'Ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow in Fantasme and Emerveill?

Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long Lasting Eyeliner in Ebene

Le Crayon Kohl Intense Eye Pencil in Clair

Crayon Sourcils Sculpting Eyebrow Pencil

On the complexion/cheeks:

Vitalumiere Aqua Fresh and Hydrating Cream Compact Makeup SPF 15 (available April 2012)

Eclat Lumiere Highlighting Face Pen

Exclusive Creation Blush Horizon de Chanel in Glowing Blush Harmony (available January 2012)

On the lips:

Levres Scintillantes Glossimer in Plaisir (available March 2012)

A few of these products aren't on sale until winter or spring, but you Spring/Summer 2012 brides could buy them then and be so fancy in your brand-spankin'-new Chanel makeup while walking down the aisle!

What do you ladies think of this as a wedding makeup idea? Do you have something very different in mind for your wedding makeup?
