Over the weekend Rihanna went out with her nails dark magenta and her lips orange—two colors that don't really go together at all. Then she made sure to put her hands close to her mouth when she spotted a photographer, so you know it was intentional. Good idea? Let's see.
The purple tones in her nail polish compete a bit with the coral tones in her lipstick, but, maybe in a good way? It's unexpected, at the very least. And it makes you pay attention to both the colors. But I think I'd ultimately be more into the pairing if the nails were slightly more raspberry.
