The second-generation Porsche Panamera entered production back in 2016 — seven years ago. It’s time for an upgrade. And Porsche has delivered, with the new third generation for 2024.
It’s not a comprehensive overhaul; the Panamera remains on the same platform. And it’s not going electric — yet, at least; this is likely to be the last combustion Panamera. But there are some significant changes that should make Porsche’s four-door sedan more intriguing.
Here’s everything you need to know about the 2024 Porsche Panamera.
What engines does the 2024 Panamera have?
We know about two of them so far. The base Panamera and Panamera 4 models receive an updated version of the twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6. It now puts out 348 horsepower and 368 lb-ft of torque. The Panamera 4 can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds and the Panamera can hit a top speed of 169 mph.
The Panamera will eventually come with four different E-Hybrid models. The version we know about is the Turbo E-Hybrid. It packs a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 hybrid paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch PDK. The combined setup puts out 670 hp and 685 lb-ft of torque. The Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.0 seconds and hit a top speed of 195 mph (on a track).
