Jastina Riederer crowned Miss Switzerland 2018

In a grand coronation ceremony, Jastina Doreen Riederer was crowned Miss Switzerland 2018. Jastina was crowned by Miss Switzerland 2015, Laetitia Guarino.

This year, Miss Switzerland witnessed a change in the format as there were top 11 finalists instead of top 10. The finale was extremely grand as it received a huge support from the enthusiastic audience and ended with much pomp.

Karen Molinari emerged as the first runner-up and Michela Russo was the second runner-up. Karen Molinari also bagged the title of ‘Miss Photogenic.’ Prior to the big evening, the girls went through several training and grooming sessions.

Jastina wished to win the title since she was a little girl. The 19-year-old beauty queen is a retail specialist from Spreitenbach and is all set to commence with her busy schedule.

Jastina goes by the nickname “Rapunzel” owing to her long tresses, which measure 88 centimetres, or nearly 35 inches in length. She was bullied for her long hair as a child and school children would stick chewing gum on her hair. Jastina says she would like to use her platform to address the problem of bullying.
