Tzitzit - A handmade Jewish clothing prayer shawl tallit katan. This luxurious and unique Judaica is a meaningful Jewish man bar mitzvah or wedding gift.
The tallit katan (Yiddish/ Hebrew: "small tallit") is a fringed garment traditionally worn either under or over the clothing of Jewish men.
All four-cornered garments are required to have tzitzit, the custom of especially wearing a tallit katan is based on the verse: "make them throughout their generations fringes in the corners of their garments."[29]
Wearing a tallit Kattan is not mandated in Biblical law, but in Rabbinic law, the practice is strongly encouraged for men, and often considered obligatory or a binding custom.
The tallit katan is also known as Arba kanfot (Yiddish/Ashkenazic Hebrew: Arba kanfos), literally "four corners", and may be referred to synecdochically as tzitzit.
It is a poncho-like garment with a hole for the head and special twined and knotted fringes known as tzitzit attached to its four corners.
The tzitzit is made from fine cotton on traditional weaving looms by Jewish men in Israel.
The design of this tallit katan is in rich gray, silver, and gold, in different weaving techniques.
Purchase this unique tallit katan for a Jewish wedding bridegroom. It is a great Judaica gift for holidays, weddings, and Bar mitzvahs.
