Oh #ANTI dropped? Sorry, didn't notice. Too distracted by Rihanna's new nails. The singer debuted extendo-long French manicured acrylics on Instagram for her new Drake collab, "Work." Hate it or love it, the divisive nail setup means you can expect to see more copycat French, and as we predicted last year, new acrylic adopters beyond Calabasas. According to Naomi Yasuda, the nail pro behind longtime acrylic fans La La Anthony, Lady Gaga, Madonna, and Amanda Lepore, that's because cryls are the most durable option when it comes to going super long. "I can do a gel extension, but it's not as strong as acrylic," says Naomi. While XL nails might impede on your dexterity (they work best when like La La and co, you have an assistant to tap out texts or open snacks) the struggle is worth it because tips elevate everyday gestures to performance art. Whatever you do; don't call it a "stripper nail." (There's nothing more over in 2016 than strip-shaming). Here, Rihanna demonstrates how cryls can improve your life.
