  • Very much quicker than the alphabetic buttons.

I bought this because my other mobile is so slow when writing a message, multiple thumb pressings to get a letter etc. With a qwerty keyboard I could rattle away at a tremendous speed. I was impressed when it arrived. All right, it was an old model, but exactly as described and it did what I wanted and in next to no time. However, I simply could not access the Internet to send emails. I did exactly what it said, but for some reason it refused to recognise the new number I got for it, even though I could send and receive messages. I like it, but I would like it more if I could send emails. Overall 6 out of 10.

  • 2nd hand blackberry

I spotted this 2nd hand blackberry while browsing and thought I'd give it a go, I,m bit of a technofobe (in my mid 60's)when it comes to things like mobiles etc, and this was a opportunity to try one at a low cost. It was a fairly old model that had been well used, but still in good working order, but I soon discovered that it was way too advanced for me. I would never ever find a need to use the many applications it has. A plain mobile that I can make calls on is all I require, so I have since sold it on, at much less than I paid for it...... Lesson learned!

  • Review of Blackberry 7230

This is a sturdy phone with keys that someone with failing eyesight can read and use easily. It is also very easy to find in a handbag/briefcase due to its size and thickness. The downside is that it does not have a camera or radio but all in all, a very practical device.

  • O2 man - he say 'No'

I originally liked the fact that the phone was exactly like a Blackberry, but sadly, did not turn out to be anything remotely like one. The colour (pink) was great - just right for a 13 year old girl - but on receiving the phone, we took it to an O2 shop to see if they could get it working. The sim tray was broken on arrival so it took a while to mend that. Following that, the 'nice' man in the shop fixed it and tried to call us from his 'proper' Blackberry. There was no signal whatsover in a strong signal O2 area and we could not see to type anything as there was no backlight. The buttons were 'plasticky' and hard to press. Basically, the 'nice man' in the O2 shop - he say 'rubbish' buy a proper one!

  • Ok if you've used blackberry phones before otherwise quite hard to work out

Won't read my sim so have lost all my contacts! But does work for basic calls etc... Quite often I have ended up walking miles home because it will only do SOS calls at times! Really hard to use, no one can work it out, even phone geniuses have been baffled trying! But it is what it is, old! Technologies moved on and it seems positively ancient! I'm sure it was great when it first come out, but I think unless your used to old blackberrys it's very difficult to get your head around the way it works! So would be great for blackberry users.
