Plitvice Lakes is the oldest and most famous national park in Croatia. It covers an area of 300 Km2 with a lake system of 16 lakes cascading one on the other. The lakes comprise 1% of the park. Stunning unspoiled nature, thick forests, and mountain meadows, all surrounding the lakes make it a perfect place for a hike and visit. There are numerous trails that can be taken, as well as little train and boat ride (depending on the season).
The national park is part of UNESCO world heritage and is a must-see for all guests coming to Croatia.
Due to a number of inquiries by our guests, we decided to organize and sell this tour. It is a long day tour starting from and returning to Dubrovnik on the same day, but it is a unique way to see Plitvice Lakes and enjoy the beauty of its nature.

Itinerary:
Our driver-guide will pick you up at your hotel/Airbnb in the air-conditioned vehicle at 05:00 AM (Early pickup is necessary to visit all the sites in time).
We continue driving along the Croatian coast and after 1:30h we continue by modern highway (A1). We will stop on the highway for coffee/breakfast/.
During the drive, our English-speaking driver/guide will fill you in on Croatia’s history, politics, economy, food, people, and customs (you can discuss any topic of your interest with your guide).
Estimated arrival to Plitvice is 11:00 AM, guide will help you buy the tickets (we need to book tickets in advance since there are limited slots at different times of the day), hand you the maps and give you suggestions on which routes to take. You will continue on your own through the park (all the paths are extremely well marked and enjoyable to walk through), make a boat ride across the lake, and come back by little train to the starting point.
(During that time your guide will have a short rest after a long drive)
14:30 meeting with guide at the Park entrance possible shortstop for sandwich or salad
14: 50 departure towards Dubrovnik, possible stops on the way for leg stretching,
20:15 – 20:30 arrival to Dubrovnik, drop off at hotel -and of the tour
SPLIT OPTION
If you opt for a visit to Split on our way back, we will leave Plitvice lakes at 13:30, and be in Split around 16:00, we would have 90 min free time in Split, and leave at 17:30. Arrival in Dubrovnik is at 20:30. Suggested places to visit in Split are Diocletian’s palace, Diocletian’s Cellars, St Dujam Bell Tower, Peristil, Marmontova Street, Marjan -Vidilica Panoramic spot.
