What made you choose the College of General Studies?

“I loved the idea of small classes. It was also important to me to have connections with my professors and the other students in the class. I really love that CGS has intimate class settings because that’s where I learn best. I was also excited by all the opportunities CGS offers to grow as a leader. My sophomore year I became a CGS Dean’s Host, which lead to me becoming a Dean’s Host at Questrom as well. I’m also currently on the e-board for Lock Honors Society, which is the academic honors society at the Questrom School of Business. I believe my experiences and relationship with my professors at CGS gave me the tools I needed to become the leader I am now.”

What was your favorite College of General Studies class?

“All of my humanities classes! I thought, as a Business major, I’d feel out of my comfort zone in a humanities course. But I got so much out of those classes. I think they made me more well-rounded and knowledgeable about things a college grad should know. And now I can have interesting and intelligent conversations!”

What do you hope to do after graduation?

“The summer between my junior and senior year I landed my dream internship at the financial services firm Duff and Phelps, working as an analyst. It actually turned into a full time post-grad job which I’m stoked about! I’m also very passionate about pursing my MBA down the road, with my top choice being Harvard Business School.”

If you could give one tip to incoming freshmen, what would it be?

“Get you know your professors! They want to know you, and everyone in CGS is so interesting. They all have their own really unique stories about how they got into teaching at BU. So go to office hours, get to know them, and you’ll never be disappointed.”

What’s one that people wouldn’t know about you?

“I can drive a racecar. I really wanted to learn because I am a really big, as the English put it, ‘Petrol Head.’ So, one summer I went and learned!”
