The home is the ultimate Hawaiian retreat.

The new Kona home of tennis great Lindsay Davenport is located on different athletic turf than she's used to: a Rees Jones–designed golf course. The athlete purchased the Hawaiian residence for a reported $4.25 million. Built in 2015 in the private community of Kohanaiki by architect Shay Zak, the property is located ten minutes from the town of Kailua-Kona and within 30 minutes of some of the best beaches on the Big Island. The home’s 3,400-square-foot interiors include a great room with a vaulted wood ceiling, a kitchen with a breakfast bar, and four en suite bedrooms. The 470-square-foot lanai expands the living space and showcases ocean views over the golf course; it also has a dining area and space to relax with views of the infinity pool and spa. Kohanaiki, a 450-acre residential community and golf club, offers the resort life to its residents. There’s a clubhouse and spa, restaurants, a movie theater, a bowling alley, and the aforementioned 18-hole golf course.

A vaulted wood ceiling tops the great room.

The master suite has stunning views.

Tropical bamboo grows in the outdoor shower.

The lanai looks out over the golf course.

There is additional outdoor seating by the pool and spa area.
