Product Description

Money plant is a biennial that is grown for the silvery white, flattened, disc-like seed Pods. Plants bloom with clusters of lavender flowers in spring & make Pods the S summer after seeds are sown. It is these coin-shaped Pods that make it attractive in dried arrangements. Garden hints: to dry seed Pods; cut when fully developed, bunch & hang stems upside down in an airy place until completely dry, 2-3 weeks. Remove brown husks on sides of seed Pod by gently rubbing between thumb & finger.

I really wanted this plant and seeds are the cheapest method. I put a few seeds between two damp paper towels, paper plate on top and bottom, and kept in dark area for 1 week before I planted. All of them sprouted.

These are hardy and will grow with most any light.

They are a taproot, so space them out, because they’ll need room to grow those roots. 12”-15” apart, ideally outside, or in large enough pots.

Any soil that retains moisture is good enough. Don’t soak.
