Happy little guy!
My little friend just arrived today. Very energetic and happy to be done traveling! His packaging was secure, and he had water/air in his bag, but I wish there were something other than a bag for them to travel in, as he had his head poking into the corner of the bag when I got him. As a packaging designer I may come up with an idea and will share it with the seller...I didn't want to waste time taking pictures of him in the bag, I wanted him in his home (which had been ready for over a week before he came) No need to really adjust him to the temp as the weather has been warm and his home has been temperate. I felt he needed to get out of that bag asap...He came out with some actual blue with the red and white (you can almost see the blue in one of the photos) - but the blue seems to have faded back a little - may come back in. I'm enjoying him changing colors as he's adjusting. Right now looking like a Koi...as seen in the shots near the rocks. Regardless, he was very energetic upon release, and ate quite a bit of these pellets I got. I think they're a little big for him, so will get flake food to try also. He seems to enjoy his new home. he has a betta bed/hammock, a lighted bubbler (that I can adjust - but he seems to enjoy mid bubbles) he really likes one particular 'plant' which is similar in color and has good 'camouflage' for him. He also REALLY likes the stones at the bottom. I caught him just looking around the bottom even nudged one of the rocks.So, we've kind of selected a name for him. 'Rocky Balbetta'. he seems to like it. I know I know.... he does follow my finger, and seems curious about me. he does look at me and holds the look for a while - not skittish at all.Overall, I'm very happy with my little fish, and may consider ordering some friends? I've seen you have little snails that are good companions? I'm rating low as giftable as I know things can go wrong in transit, and it would be too sad (and Godfather'ish) to send a fish that didn't make it, but its thoughtful and fun, as long as recipient would be prepared.

I was worried about getting a live fish in the mail. This company did a PERFECT JOB! The fish is in great condition and beautiful! He was hungry and is doing great! So happy! EDIT: After two weeks fish is doing great! The most active spunky beta I have ever had! Highly recommended!

So I have to rescind my 1st 5 star review 1st fish I was happy He lived red white and blue, 2nd fish a beautiful big blue one with red front fins..was very happy..3rd fish looked pearl like on 4th attemptmp received a open wet box and packing..no fish..on replacement got a fish that couldnt move Looked bad and died within 18 hrs..Never swam Buyer feels if fish is DOA he will fix but blames your water if it dies right after.. believe me Betta's are very hardy and hard water is no issue thats why they can live in 1 cup of water for weeks..I believe due to the poor care with the fish before shipped has everything to do with hardiness once you get it..I can also warn you You will usually get the fish no one likes the colors..Do yourself a favor Go to local store with a mask on and pick one you like for $3.99 I have now dont that for 5 more..I dont want my $17 I want you aware of what you are risking to buy from this seller

Nervous about mail ordering....but happy with the fish!

I just figured I would go ahead and purchase the fish and see what would happen. Was kind of like Christmas in a sense. Lol. I had no idea what color or type of betta I was going to get. I ordered it and 6 days later I received my fish. I was so nervous opening the package, but there he was.....alive and well! The package was well insulated and padded and he also had a separate warming package in the box with him to keep the water temp from getting too cold. (It's cold here right now.) He's also very beautiful!! I'm pleasantly surprised. I just put him in his tank and he is now swimming around and checking it out! I would order from them again. 😊

We named him Chernobyl Bec he's a disaster lol 😂😂😂 He attempted suicide 2x. Had him in container so he could be at room temperature so we could put him in the tank. He jumped out that was the 1st attempt. He started attacking his tank mates witch were a couple mystery snails but I also had Cory catfish & loach in the tank too so we moved him to a Betta tank Bec he was agressive. While I had him in a net to move him to the Betta tank he jumped out of the net into my ashtray on top of the entertainment center that was his 2nd attempt. I had to grab him as quick as possible and clean him off. He did survive both incidents. He's deff a Lil disaster but he's heathy, eats great, and a Lil crazy but we love him.
