SCHWEIZ OKÄNT FOTODATUM.. Orig. bildtext... GILLIS GRAFSTRÖM - THE MAN WITHOUT NERVES. This remarkable photo was taken by a friend of the famous Swedish skating champion Gillis Grafström, when they were together in Switzerland at an Alpine restaurant, called Alp-Grün, near the famous mountain Piz-Palü, famous for its so called Death Steep. Here the mountain runs downright for 300 Meters and Gillis Grafström is seen here standing on his hands and looking down into the steep canyon. The most remarkable fact was that Gillis Grafström made the feat 3 times. The 3rd time he went down on the other side and hang down right along the mountain only keeping himself at the barrier and afterwards heaving himself up and riding on the barrier. The third time he did this tric only to enable his friend, another Swedish skater to take this photo, showing a real Swedish dare-devil of the old viking stock, for Gillis Grafström is really a true sportsman and may be engaged by a circus or a variety if they only could get him. Not. Dödsstupet vid Piz Palü Berg-Restaurang Alp-Grün vid järnvägslinjen St Moritz Bernina häuser-Tirano, världens högsta järnvägsbana. Anm.
