MAZDA 110S
At the time of its release, this sports coupe was the first in the world to feature a 2-rotor rotary engine. The 110S was Mazda's first rotary engine car, and ranked as one of Japan's famous cars alongside the 2000GT. A light vehicle weight of less than 1 ton and a compact body structure with a low center of gravity gave it excellent maneuverability.
RX-7 (SA22C)
The first generation RX-7. This later model – the first to be turbocharged – was the first RX-7 that ran powerfully enough that it could be compared to other rotary sports cars. The turbo is thought to go well with its rotary engine, and coupled with its simple chassis and light-weight, compact body, it can be driven as hard as high-displacement sports cars.
RX-8 (SE3P)
Constructed with a unique 4-door body with rear suicide doors, this machine has an FR layout that balances its weight front and back like its noble predecessor, the RX-7, and its good balance gives it an impression of being lighter than its actual weight when driving. Its new-generation rotary engine allows the driver to feel an even smoother response.
RX-7 (FD3S)
In addition to its polished FR layout, it has a body that takes into account an evenly balanced weight as well as aerodynamics. It's a cornering machine that can quickly turn well from low- to high-speeds. But it can also feel slightly sluggish when accelerating due to the weak torque particular to rotary engines.
RX-7 (FC3S)
It has a polished FR layout. Its layout is undeniably older than the FD3S, but its gentle frame movement, which comes from its simply constructed suspension, is easy to understand even for beginners. It has the weak torque particular to rotary engines just like the FC3S.
Eunos Cosmo (JCESE)
A luxury coupe equipped with a triple-rotor engine that is usually seen in racing machines. It was not designed specifically for racing, but its smooth-response, triple-rotor engine promises to reach high speeds. Its large body should also prove to be effective at maximum speeds, but its heavy weight makes it sluggish in corners.
MAZDA6 MPS (GG3P)
A 4-door sports sedan that combines a 4WD system and a turbo engine with the Mazda6 chassis. Since it uses the original, polished chassis, its nature doesn't change even with the increase in power. It has some places that are slightly heavier, but its high-torque engine accelerates strongly without making this noticeable.
MX-5 (NCEC)
Recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records as the most-produced, 2-seater roadster, this is one vehicle, loved worldwide, that can be said to be synonymous with "lightweight sports car." Making use of its light weight and compact dimensions, this car can run circles around other cars on courses with a technical layout.
