Palm Jumeirah Dubai: Luxury, Leisure And Lifestyle

With its extravagance and lavish aura, Dubai lets everyone know what the city is capable of, and there are plenty of man-made marvels that will leave you with an open jaw with awe and admiration. Palm Jumeirah Dubai and Burj Khalifa are examples of the grandeur and opulence of this lavish city.

Ensure that your Dubai Tour Package includes a visit to Palm Jumeirah Island, which is a feat of engineering to make a structure that the world has never seen or even imagined. Out of all the remarkable projects in Dubai, none has come even closer to the grandeur of Palm Island. It is called the Palm Island because the entire artificial island is shaped like a Palm tree.

This unique island is home to some of the most luxurious hotels and resorts that will leave you wondering. There are some of the most fabulous restaurants offering fine dining with drool-worthy food. There are a total of 80 restaurants, including Nobu, 101 dining lounges and plenty of other places to hang out with your family and friends at the Palm Jumeirah Dubai.

History Of Palm Jumeirah Dubai

The Nakheel properties, which are well-known developers in Dubai, took the Herculean task of making Palm Jumeirah Island, the construction of which began in 2001 and took six years to complete.

It is said that millions of cubic meters of sand were dredged from the seabed and then later arranged with the help of GPS technology in order to give the island the shape of a palm tree.

Truth be told, there were several challenges that came in the way, but with innovation and critical thinking, the engineers completed the construction of Palm Jumeirah in 2006, and it became the largest artificial island in the world.

The island extends at least 5 km into the Gulf while covering a total area of 560 hectares.

Structure Of Palm Jumeirah

The most fascinating thing about the Palm Jumeirah, which makes it one of the best places to visit in Dubai, is its unique structure.

The structure of the Palm consists of a central trunk, which possesses 17 fronds that extend on both sides, giving the look of a Palm tree when seen from above or from a drone view. The trunk consists of some of the lavish hotels, resorts and restaurants, including Atlantis The Palm, Waldorf Astoria, and other luxury hotels and villas.

The fronds, on the other hand, feature some of the most luxurious townhouses and apartments, offering an unforgettable experience to the people.

There are plenty of activities and adventurous things to do in Palm Jumeirah Dubai. The Palm is easily accessible with road networks, tunnels, and public transport, including the Palm Monorail. The rail service offers free parking at the base, and you can also explore the Nakheel Mall and Atlantis The Palm.

One of the most common ways to explore the Palm is to sail on a speed boat or a yacht. You can admire the island’s stunning views from the Palm Jumeirah Broadwalk or the Palm West Beach. People keen on adventure can go skydiving in Dubai to have a bird’s eye view of Palm Island, which is a sight to behold.

If you are looking for a laid-back evening at the Palm Jumeirah, then head to Club Vistara Mere, offering a series of restaurants offering fine dining options on the edge of the island, not literally, though.

Some of the options include signature comfort food at the Ria Restaurant, fresh seafood, and a mouthful of flavours with an Arabic twist at the Ibn AlBahr restaurant. All these restaurants on the island offer majestic views of Palm Island, Palm Atlantis and the only 7-star hotel in the world, the Burj Al Arab.
