Bridal Beauty – Teresa & Sony’s Wedding

It is perhaps one of the most fun weddings I have attended this year. The morning started off at Richmond’s RiverRock Casino/Resort, where we did the hair & make-up prepping at the suite of where the bride stayed over night. Of course, there was the talented hair styling experts Eros Liu & Tiffany Kuan who was there to work together as a team to do hair & make-up on the bridesmaids, the mom, and the bride. Tommy Beauty Team was booked the whole day for their beautiful wedding to accommodate their large number of people require make-up & hair service, and touch-up/changes throughout the day.

Bunch of photographers were also at the suite to help taking a lot of pictures throughout the day because Sony Lin (the groom) was part of the VPN Event (Vancouver Photo Network) group, and it was actually through the VPN event, he had the chance to meet his beautiful wife Teresa Kuan. Photographer Brian Ho took the lead as the main photographer for the day.

Bunch of fun & crazy games were played by the boys at the suite before the groom can see his beautiful bride in white wedding gown, followed by the traditional ceremony with the bride’s parents & family.

The whole crew then checked out of the hotel and moved to the groom’s house in Richmond for another traditional tea ceremony with the groom’s family. Delicious lunch were served by the Lin’s family in a buffet style. A quick hair/make-up touch-up was done after lunch, then the team moved to Gastown for outdoor shoots & also a indoor session at Fairmount Pacific Rim Hotel.

The majority of us arrived at the new, beautiful Vancouver Convention Centre to help set up the Ceremony, and special thanks for Steven Soong of Hidden Design Photography for providing the Photo Booth machine where all of us had so much fun playing with the crazy self-taking photos! It’s so much fun to play with it!!

The wedding ceremony was really sweet, and dinner was great. It was even more fun because the make-up/hair team were treated as special guests to be seated with table #8 guests, who are all friends of ours. Whenever the bride needs to change her dress during the dinner banquet, then we will follow her to the backstage room for make-up/hair changes.

We like to work in a team for large wedding gigs because it’s just a lot faster when one person can be in charge of all the make-up, and another person(s) can look after all the hair styling. It’s more specialized, and it’s a lot faster for the clients & us as well.

The beautiful, fun wedding ended late while most of got pulled to the stage to dance… and the night view of Vancouver Convention Centre is just beyond gorgeous, not to mention the catering there was wonderful too! We were so happy to be part of their special day, and we look forward to be involved in more special wedding cases. We love it!
