NE555 Timer – Monostable Mode – Schematic

Basic application of NE555 Timer operating in Monostable Mode, also known as single shot mode. Here the circuit is switching between a stable state and a quasi-stable state. The time spent in the the quasi-stable state after a button press is determined by the values of R1 and C1, increasing these values will increase the period of time that the LED is on. Because their is a clear, on, and off, this circuit is often used to debounce a ripple signal and provide a even transition at its output.
