conclusion
Despite only lasting 15 years, the Qin Dynasty had unbounded influence on China for years to come. Legalism was the key factor in uniting China, which allowed reforms and developments to be made such as the standardisation of writing, weights and measurements, as well as many building projects including the Great Wall of China and the Terracotta Warriors. However, these advancements were only made with strict laws and punishments put in place, and did not come without a great loss of life. The Qin Dynasty was not durable enough to offer a permanent solution and it fell apart within 15 years. Therefore, the Qin Dynasty, to some extent, successfully united China.
