Peter Doherty will publish his first memoir on  June 16 via Little, Brown Book Group. Written with Simon Spence, A Likely Lad will take readers inside the Libertines and Babyshambles frontman’s “creative process, decadent parties, substance-fuelled nights, his time in prison and tendency for self-destruction,” according to press materials. He discusses “poetry, Paris, philosophy, politics, the music business, and his key influences (from Hancock to Baudelaire),” the description adds.

Doherty released his latest album, The Fantasy Life of Poetry & Crime, with the French artist Frédéric Lo, earlier this year. He continues to tour with the Libertines.
