Agyness Deyn got married to hedge fund manager Joel McAndrew in Brooklyn on Sunday. Deyn’s longtime friend and designer Henry Holland shared the news on Instagram, posting several shots of Deyn and McAndrew standing in front of a stunning building in Brooklyn Heights. Deyn, 33, wore a pink gown by the English designer Molly Goddard, who had a pretty unusual design request from the bride. “She came to the studio in May or June, tried on a few things, and then said, ‘Do whatever you think best!'” Goddard told Vogue. “I got the feeling of what she was after immediately — a wedding-y wedding dress, a bit glam but not glamorous, and sparkly, which scared me a bit.” Adding to the anxiety? Deyn and Goddard only had one fitting together. “We only did one fitting, a pretty quick process — I think we set some kind of record! We had so much fun; we were drinking water out of champagne glasses.” What transpired was a sheer ivory gown with pink lining underneath and accented with turquoise stitching at the bodice, to match the color of her bejeweled heels. As for the veil, the duo found inspiration of Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly for the design. “The dress is quite big, so we just cut a circle in tulle and plopped it on her head; it looked crazy! A potato-shaped piece of tulle pinned to her hair — she is one of the few people who could carry it off.” Meanwhile, McAndrew wore a white suit (it is ahead of Labor Day, after all) a blue tie and a pink cornflower boutonniere. The supermodel shared the news on her Instagram, writing simply, “I get to marry my best friend today.” Deyn, who was famous for her peroxide blonde pixie cut and club kid aesthetic in the early 2000s, left the world of modeling behind to pursue an acting career. She recently had a small role in Hail, Caesar! and starred in The White King. She made a brief return to modeling in the fall of 2015 when she walked in a show for Saint Laurent. Deyn was previously married to actor Giovanni Ribisi, but the pair split in 2015 after three years of marriage.
