romanian communist era cartoons looks like typical old animation.. these are the 2 i watched on a childhood cartoon channel, Mihaela and Balanel si Miaunel
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ck6HlWoOtQk
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_F2IVgjasc

i dont think there are any notable modern romanian cartoons except for these very barely animated fairy tales; i dont know if they are on tv or smth, it's the first thing that came up when googling romanian word for cartoons
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pg1aPs7bTlo

unless you also count humoristic youtube shows, but the animation isnt supposed to be the strong point of those, like south park i gues
robotzii (this is a music video episode so i guess its more fun than the others): https://youtu.be/8wQh-Zvec44?t=85

I have to say that although they are not at the level of Japanese or American animation but still most of them look really good. especially the old communist era ones(my country did not even have a single animation studio or show before 2000s)

The average animation quality of most of the Indonesian shows looks the same as the recent indian cartoon shows but some of them are better than the Indian ones.We still do not have a single cartoon show or movie which are targeted at adults or are based on serious topics like wars also can you tell me that what was the first cartoon clip about?it looks like a film set in world war 2

No way , you're romanian too ? I would've never guessed :)

OT : Romanian animation is at a dead end . For the last 10 or so years , there has been no original production , so we only have whatever is broadcasted on Cartoon Network , Nickleodeon etc .

Well they aren't that interesting since I'm from the good ol' UK and we mostly get our cartoons from America, but apparently we make The Amazing World of Gumball which is pretty cool.

Other than that it's mostly young childrens'/kids' TV such as Peppa Pig and things like Nella the Princess Knight.

Though we did a lot of stop-motion back in the 80s to early 2000s such as Fireman Sam, Pingu, Bob the Builder and Postman Pat (those were the good days)

OH YEAH! The animated Mr. Bean series was great, but I never really liked Horrid Henry (or Dennis the Menace). And yeah Thomas the Tank Engine/Thomas & Friends is a UK series (in some cases it might be seen as quite an iconic British series, so I'm not sure how I forgot it). But sadly, most of the old stop-motion shows are now made in CGI and it kinda just ruins the whole nostalgia aspect.

Well, my country really has no cartoons. Our television only buys foreign cartoon or anime and inserts the voices of native voice actors. Welcome to Croatia.
And I'm just waiting for a random Japanese dude to post every anime picture he can xD

Damn, RPG Metanoia (2010), a gaming centric story before SAO, and an esports theme earlier than Lu Shidai (2014). It kinda makes you well up inside.

You forgot Dayo: Sa Mundo ng Elementalia (2008) though. It was a nice showcase of Philippine mythical creatures.

The most successful Spanish animations of recent years are the Tadeo Jones (Tad, the lost explorer) movies. I haven't watched them but from the short I did watch I can say they are inspired on the Indiana Jones franchise and they seem to be fine entertainment. Not very interested though.

It seems that most major features here try a Dreamworks/Pixar style, with variable results (some examples here). They are made for young audiences and with a big mainstream appeal or at least intent.

On the artsy and/or adult stuff, there's some like these:

About TV animation, I'd say there have been two major authors/studios. BRB International made some titles in the 80s that are still well-considered:

The 90s and early 00s were dominated by D'Ocon Films, well-known for its cheap animation and massive production of series.

Nowadays it's quite dead. One of the last successful series was the cute pre-school comedy Pocoyo, but it's been a while.

I have to say that most of these shows look quite good and its a downer that i never get to watch any of the spanish cartoons in my childhood as most of the foreign cartoons/anime in my country were from US,Japan and UK.I also think that the decline of animation quality and good shows is true for most of the European nations(except for France,UK) and i think that its because of the domination of US and Japanese shows.Fortunately, from what i have heard the animation industry in most of the developing countries(including mine) is growing rapidly infact Till 15 years ago their was not a single animated show created in my country and almost all of them were imported from US,Japan,France and UK but now majority of the cartoons shown here are all the local made ones but they are still way behind these countries in terms of quality animation.

Cartoons from the United States widely vary in the same way anime does.

Some of them look great!

Born in United States, but I think y'all already know what cartoons look like over there. However, I actually am Bengali-American, so I think it'd be more interesting to showcase a Bengali cartoon that my mom likes that I kinda grew up watching... sometimes? Maybe? Idk I never really watched that many episodes of it, but whatever I had seen was enjoyable to me.

Dunno if this cartoon is still airing to this day or how popular it was, but there is this children's show called Meena, created by UNICEF and Hanna-Barbera about this girl in the countryside named Meena and her parrot Mithu. (I love Mithu, I still actually screech impressions of him sometimes lol)
I actually didn't know until a few years ago (like 2 or 3 years ago) that Meena was serialized in English as well as a bunch of other languages—I had watched the show in Bengali at the time. You can actually easily find and watch some of the episodes in English on UNICEF Bangladesh's YouTube channel.

I'm sure you can already tell from the mention of UNICEF that this is a cartoon that deals with social and cultural issues.
Just the first episode alone already addresses gender inequality, as it's about Meena wishing she could be able to go to school like her younger brother, Raju.

One of the few episodes of this cartoon I had seen that really broke my heart back then (and still does to this day) is the episode where Meena is forced to go to the city in a dire time of need.

More modern episodes don't look as good as the few episodes I had watched though... from what I saw, they tried to make them on a computer... I'm sure anime veterans already know how awkward the transition from traditional to digital animation can look lol.
Been a while since I saw those tho, so dunno if they've gotten better.

Dunno any other cartoons from Bangladesh, but I thought this was worth sharing.
Also OP's username is hilarious.

I think this is peak Australian culture right here. This series was the talk of the town when it came out in the early 2010s back when I was starting college. Everyone was either talking about it, making parodies or repeating what characters said, such as "wadiyatalkinabeet".

4 seasons and 3 movies, this show will go down as a classic in the hearts of most Australians.
