All have 4.0-litre V8 engines with two turbochargers attached, and all are big executive cars, and all have four-wheel drive, but beyond that they go about things in slightly different ways.

All three have automatic gearbox, 8 gears with torque converter in case of BMW M5, 9 gears with multiplate clutch for Mercedes-AMG E 63 S and a 8 gears  double clutch gearbox for Porsche Panamera.

But only one can be quickest through 60mph, 100mph, a standing 1/4 mile and a standing 1/2 mile. Question is, which one?

There is no surprise that Porsche won. The Panamera take advantages already from the start thanks to the Plug-In Hybrid propulsion system. The 136 HP and 400 Nm electric engine support the thermal engine at the start and the whole system delivers 680 HP and 850 Nm already from 1,400 rpm.
The electric engine delivers the maximum torque of 400 Nm already from 100 rpm.

BMW M5 has a 4.4 liter bi-turbo V8 engine with 600 HP and 750 Nm while Mercedes-AMG E 63 S is powered by the new 4.0 liter V8 bi-turbo with 612 HP and 850 Nm.
M5 has the 750 Nm maximum torque already from 1,800 Nm, while Mercedes-AMG E 63 S delivers 100 Nm more but at 2,500 rpm.

Porsche was the fastest at the start and kept his advantage until to the finish line. Here are the results measured by Autocar magazine.
