Dome Loaded Pressure Regulators

Dome loaded pressure regulators are operated by gas pressure in the dome. In contrast to spring loaded regulators, dome loaded pressure regulators regulate the output pressure based on the pressure within the pre-loaded dome.


The pressure within the dome can be controlled internally and externally. For internal dome loading, a separate pilot regulator is not required. If setting the dome pressure externally, a separate pilot regulator (could also be a spring-loaded regulator) can be used. A flexible diaphragm separates the gas in the dome from the process fluid ensuring media segregation where this is critical.

They can be used in medium and high flow applications for both primary and secondary regulation. Due to their heavy-duty Stainless steel or Brass construction, they are ideally suited for applications in aggressive and arduous conditions.  

These regulators are used in a wide range of industries and applications such as:

They can be supplied line mounted or integrated into a manifold package and are available from ¼” up to 6”. Oxygen service and NACE versions are also available.
