Mi-4 Hound - Trumpeter 05816

The Mil Mi-4, NATO code name Hound was a Soviet transport helicopter used in both civilian and military applications. It was introduced in 1952, before the production stopped over 4,000 were constructed. Although it has a resemblance to USA's H-19 Chicksaw the Mi-4 was bigger, had more lift capablities, and was built in greater numbers. The Mi-4A was an earlier assault transporter version. The fully assembled 1/48 model is 34cm long and has a rotor radius of 43cm.
