2023: Elena was named First team All-ACC, All Pitt Region, and All-East Region in addition to being named AVCA Second Team All-American. Voted the ACC Defensive Player of the Year, she was a four-time Defensive Player of the Week. Elena played in all 117 sets in 2023, amassing 523 digs with a team high 35 aces and 130 assists. She joined the 1,000 dig club and now stands at 1,352 career digs, that ranks her No. 6 on the all-time Cardinal list. She had 29 matches in double-digit digs with a season-high of 29 at NC State. She had 10 matches with 20 or more digs including 27 versus Creighton, 24 at both Pitt and Georgia Tech. A strong server, she had an ace in 25 matches with the season high of three coming at Pitt in the Regional Final. A setter in high school, Louisville setter turned libero also had 130 assists with a season-high of nine at Dayton and she had seven at North Carolina and versus Western Michigan.  She was added to the All-ACC Academic squad as well.  

2022: Elena was named an AVCA Second-Team All-American honoree, an AVCA East Region First-Team honoree, and an All-ACC First-Team honoree. Elena played in all 119 sets, recording 126 assists, 41 aces, and 467 digs, a team high. A defensive titan, she had six matches with 20 or more digs: 20 vs. Ohio State, 26 vs. Georgia Tech, 20 vs. Wake Forest, 25 vs. Georgia Tech, 22 vs. Purdue, 28 vs. Pitt. Elena had a season-best match in the National Semifinal game against Pittsburgh, recording eight assists, five points, five aces, and 28 digs.

2021: Elena was named to the AVCA First Team All-East Region, Second Team All-ACC. ACC All-Freshman and ACC Freshman of the Week on three occasions as the only non-Outside Hitter to be honored.  Elena has only been aced 6 times this entire season (417 total attempts) and four RE were against Top 50. She was aced only twice in the ACC play and has also out-dug every opposing Libero in the Cards' top 25 match ups.  Elena also has the longest run of the year with a 16-point serving run at Notre Dame. In all, she has had 16 serving runs of more than five points that also included nine straight points against Miami and Clemson. She had 24 matches with double digit digs with career-high 22 at Florida State (a three-set match) and 20 at Duke. Her RE% is .981 against top 50 teams.  She is ranked sixth in service aces in ACC and ninth in digs in ACC. She is second digs in ACC in conference matches only statistics. She is ranked nationally in total digs (415). She was a setter in high school-turned Libero at Louisville. In the summer of 2022, she was invited to the U.S. National Team Open Tryouts. An excellent student, she was named to All ACC Academic team, the ACC Honor Roll and the Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
NCAA Tournament Stats: 3 Assts., 1 SA, 17 digs vs. UIC; 1 Asst., 15 digs vs. Ball St.; 14 Digs, 3 Assts. vs. Florida; 2 Assts; 1 ace, 19 digs vs. Georgia Tech; 13 digs versus Wisconsin.  

Prep: Elena Scott, a 5-9 libero/defensive specialist from Louisville, Ky.,  played for Mercy Academy for Matt Thomerson. She was a member of the PNK Club where she played for Connie Hulsmeyer. For PNK, she was an AAU All-American in 2014, 2017, 2018 and 2019. She made the All-Tournament Team at the Nike President Day Classic in 2017 and 2020.  She was the SPVB National Junior Classic 16 Open MVP 2018. She made the Ultra Ankle JVA Watchlist 2017-2020. Her team placed third in the 12 Open in 2014, and second in 2017's 15 Open and third in the 2019 17 Open. Her high school honors include KHSAA All-District in 2017, 2019 and 2020 and KHSAA All-Region and All-State in 2019. She was KVCA All-State (HM) in 2017, Second Team in 2018 and First Team in 2019. As Region Six Player of the Year in 2019 and 2020, she was a MaxPreps Underclass All-American in 2018, and made Second Team in 2019. PrepVolleyball named her a High School All-American in 2018, and named her Top 59 Frosh in 2018, Top 79 Soph in 2018 and Top 50 as a junior in 2019. At the Durango Fall Classic, she was named All-Tournament Team in 2019.  The KHSAA named her the Volleyball Female Student-Athlete of the Year in 2019. She made the AVCA Phenom List from 2017-19.
