Christi McGarry is Miss Intercontinental first-runner up

The Camarines Sur lass lost only to Russian representative, Valentina Rasulova

21 Dec - While Hillarie Parungao failed to become the second Filipina to win Miss World, 25 year-old Christi Lynn McGarry had a better luck in placing second for the Miss Intercontinental beauty pageant held in Germany last Friday.

According to Interaksyon, the Camarines Sur lass, who attempted to win the crown the second time since her first entry five years ago, lost only to Miss Russia, Valentina Rasulova.

McGarry also won the special award again this year - the Miss Asia Oceania Intercontinental - defeating over 63 candidates from all over the world.

On the other hand, U.S. representative Brianne Bailey was second runner-up, while Venezuelan Katherine Garcia, the third.

No representative of the Philippines has ever won the title so far.
