Description
Photo of a mourner standing at the glass-topped casket of Rudolph Valentino. Because of the extreme public response to his death and the public viewing, it apparently became necessary to move Valentino's body into a casket with a glass top. A man's arm clad in black can be seen giving the fascist salute at the right of the photo. It was claimed that Benito Mussolini had sent four black short guards to honor Valentino, but it was discovered that the Frank E. Campbell Funeral Chapel had hired 4 actors to pose as guards for publicity.

Notes
English: Copyright not renewed. A search for renewal was done under art works for the years 1953 and 1954. There were no listings for Associated Press. There's no evidence copyright continues to be claimed on the photo, which expired definitely in 2022 (95 years after publication).
